My favourite time of year is coming up.
It’s the last month of Winter and as the days start getting warmer, the need to layer fades. Soon the amazing feeling of throwing a coat on over a short t-shirt dress and kicks will be all you need to step outside into the great outdoors. Gone will be the days of trying fruitlessly to grab on to the ends of cardigan or sweater sleeves so that they don’t bunch up under your coat sleeves. Which by the way are way too tight to fit anything under comfortably anyway.
As a minimal dresser, layering items in Winter is just not my forte. I end up just being either way too cold, or way too hot. Also anyone who wears a lot of black will know the pain of putting on a entire black outfit, consisting of many layers, only to find that some of the blacks you’re wearing are blue/black, some are red/black and some are green/black…
The struggle is real.
It’s Friday! The laziest day of the work week.
Who wants to think about putting on more than one item of clothing on a Friday? No one. Unless you’re a guy.
That’s why today, I settled on my favourite hybrid that is, the Denim Onsie. Cool enough to work with the warm Spring sun, long sleeves to combat the still slightly icy wind and to top it off, it’s DENIM.
So with the challenge of working out my wardrobe well accomplished, I am now faced with another more pressing natter. Going to the bathroom.

There is no better feeling than pulling on your most favourite, oversized sweatshirt. It’s like wearing a hug.
It’s one of my favourite thing to wear in the colder months.
To compensate for my top half, well let’s face it, I’m wearing leggings and I have no make up on, so let me rephrase that. To compensate for the rest of my sloppy appearance, I throw on my strappy heels and all of a sudden I’m ready to take on the world… or coffee, maybe a fabric appointment or two. Let’s not get carried away.
It’s only Tuesday and to be fair, I spend most of it sitting down.
Side note ** If you’re looking for an amazing selection of vintage Optical or Sunglasses, check out Abe and Sara online or last time I checked they were at Paddington and Bondi Markets.
You will not be disappointed.
Today was the first day of Spring, and it was truly glorious.
After yesterdays trans seasonal dressing post, I awoke to a mildy warm morning, warm being a balmy 17 degrees. It’s funny that when we reach the beginning of Spring, a 17 degree morning is cause for dusting off your sandals. At the other end of the year, Autumn rears it’s ugly head and as soon as temps dip below 20 degrees, we’re whining that it’s cold and we’re reaching for our hoodies.
Today I left my house, jacket-less, in a thin white t-shirt and I felt free, liberated and only slightly uncomfortably cold.
