Jigsaw Linen Tee / Vintage Leather Skirt / Jigsaw Wool Fedora / Pamela Love Necklace
A vintage leather skirt and a white tee are a match made in monochrome, not to mention extremely affordable, heaven.
Anytime I walk into a vintage store I am all over that leather skirt section like a fat kid on cake. Usually you have to sift through a whole bunch of strangely fitting 80’s skirts. But when you do find something though, you can usually pick up a 100% leather, fully lined skirt for around $50-$70.
I found this perfectly fitting gem in a vintage store in Melbourne just off Brunswick street in May and I completely forgot I had it until recently. One of the hazards of having an almost all black wardrobe is that things manage to slip into the shadows.
On the up side, it makes grabbing things blindly and randomly in the mornings an extremely low risk activity.

What do you wear when you’re going to eat 1.5KG of BBQ meat along with sides like Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Bacon Beans, Slaw, Brioche, topped off with healthy serving of Cronuts and coffee?
Some adjectives that popped into my head while I was getting dressed were baggy, stretchy, elasticised, comfortable, did I mention baggy and stretchy? So that’s exactly what I did. I pulled on my elasticised waist jersey skirt, baggiest black tank and even my most comfortable bra and I was ready for any food that was coming my way.
My Sunday was looking up. The sun was shining, the day was getting warmer, I couldn’t see a cardigan, jacket or hoodie in sight AND i stumbled across this awesome graffiti of jousting knights riding prawns on the way to lunch.
KNIGHTS. RIDING. PRAWNS.

We had our first official Doggy Friday this week and I borrowed a co-workers Labradoodle to grab some happy snaps. Bailey the Labradoodle was too cool for a real lead, instead opting for a makeshift one, made out of orange nylon rope. What a dirty hipster.
I felt that I had dressed appropriately enough for the occasion, going for a mix of dog walker meets 90’s rapper, in stilettos. In reality, I just wanted to wear my track pants to work and wearing them with my Chuck Taylors or my Air Maxs was just too literal.
My conclusion about Doggy Friday? Fridays are made exponentially more enjoyable by introducing dogs and puppies.
Oh and wearing track pants to work. That always helps.
