FLAIR FOR FLARES

FLARES

Calvin Klein Jumper / Raquel Allegra Tank / Frame Highwaist Flares / Alexander McQueen Cage Heels / Yves Saint Laurent Mini Crossbody / Kenzo Cut Out Earrings / Tom Ford Lipstick

Whether it’s couture, high end or high street, wherever you look, the 70’s trend is well and truly alive and here to stay. Yeap, they’re Ah ha ha ha stayin’ alive.

See what I did there.

You might be scared to take your first bellbottomed step into the flared universe and rightly so. This is one area that can go horribly, horribly wrong. Finding the right proportion is difficult, especially if you’re vertically challenged like me. A more high waisted fit will help elongate you while heels will be a necessity, which makes them not the most practical of jeans, but still a silhouette that can earn it’s place in your denim rotation.

They may not be everyone’s disco ticket, but they’re a good alternative shape, maybe a bench player that only really gets play time when the favourites need a break.

Your skinny jeans have been good to you, they’ve been there for every wardrobe emergency, indecisive outfit moment and the after thought of your outfit on more than one occasion. They’re tired, so give them a break and put a little flare into your life!

This is such a great outfit! The earrings are pretty cool 🙂 I always stay well away from flared jeans as I feel like if I go to try them on in store I will look in the mirror and end up scaring the living daylights out of myself! haha But this outfit looks amazing so I may have to give them a go ❤ Thanks for this inspo girl!
